we closed our doors on the 20th March as instructed by thegovernment and currently remain closed.
The Pub/Bar (wet sales)
We are working behind the scenes to adapt to a "new normal". We appreciate that the media and most publicans are anticipating July 4th to be the day we can open, for some that will be the case where social distancing can be practiced it seems, for us here at the Black swan this will be very very difficult with only one point of entry/exit plus many quirky features of our old building would mean our capacity would have be very low and almost untenable for the bar (wet sales) to trade.
Therefore we ask for evryones patience with this, when its safe, we look forward to seeing everyone again.
We have 3 luxury en suite rooms available and are looking into providing a cooked breakfast (hot meal) option via room service, again we are reviewing the safest methods of re-introducing this service as we need to look at access & exits points considering social distancing and new regualtions.
Regarding the food!
Were leaning towards operating as a takeaway serving a reduced menu mainly consisting of our little plates/tapas dishes and a few other items, were carefully considering which dishes will work/travel well so that when the food is collected there will be a guarantee of it being hot, fresh and 100% enjoyable when you get it home!
The working idea as it stands - the website will be re designed as online shop which you can access, pre-order and pay for your food and book a time slot to collect your food safely from the Black swan. This will be aviailable 2 or maybe 3 sessions per week to begin with whilst we learn to effeciantly increase the amount of orders we can accept.
Another concept that we have been working on is offering a slection of dishes which can be collected or delivered cold for your selves to safely reheat at home at your leisure - this would provide an option to those who have missed a hot food collection slot or those who wish to dine outside of our operational hours, the food would always be fresh so the versatility of consuming it over a couple of days is also there for you.
There is no official date for all this as we have to now liase with all of our furloughed staff and devise a safe logical way to get them back to work and revise & retrain our new methods so we can deliver our usual high standards to our customers.
